Surrogacy
Adoption and surrogacy are two alternative names for the same thing. ART involves the use of donor sperm, eggs, embryos, or gametes to create a pregnancy. ART is usually used with in vitro fertilization, in which a woman’s eggs are fertilized outside of the woman’s body, and the embryos are placed back in the woman.
Types of surrogacy
There are three types of surrogacy. Nowadays the most popular type of these processes is traditional surrogacy, gestational surrogacy, and donor surrogacy.
Costs of surrogacy
Surrogacy is an arrangement in which a woman agrees to carry a child for another person or couple. The woman may be the biological mother of the child, or she may be chosen based on other factors, such as the ability to carry the child to term, prior experience in carrying children, or ethnic identity.
Surrogacy Laws
In 2015, the first state-level surrogacy law was introduced in Rhode Island. The law, which was based on an 11-year-old Oregon legislation, makes surrogacy available for couples of all sexual orientations. However, surrogacy is banned for same-sex couples in Massachusetts and California.
Legal Process of Surrogacy
Surrogacy or vientre de alquiler is a legal process by which one individual is legally substituted by the surrogate for the service of carrying the pregnancy of an individual who cannot carry a pregnancy. And, a surrogate is a woman who is assisted in carrying a child for the intended parent.
Surrogacy Plan
I (Jane) have a baby boy and I met a baby boy. We want to have another child. We want our baby to have our genes. (But), we can’t have a child naturally. We can’t grow a baby inside our body. So, we want to have my baby be someone else’s baby.
Surrogacy Clinics
Since the 1960s, there have been many working women who believe surrogacy may be their best chance to have a child. Surrogacy clinics specialize in helping couples who want a baby to have a child. When the couple comes to the clinic, they are asked questions to form a basic profile. The clinic then works with the surrogate mother to ensure the baby is genetically linked to both of them.
Surrogate Mother
A surrogate mother is a woman who agrees to bear a child for other people and relinquish her parental rights. (In the United States, gestational surrogacy is illegal.) Unlike traditional surrogacy, in which the woman carries the baby (and gives birth to the baby), a surrogate mother does not give birth to a child.
Surrogate pregnancy
Surrogacy is the legal transfer of biological parenthood of a minor, usually a woman, to another person. This is usually done for childless couples who desire to have children of their own.
Final Words
In conclusion, the surrogacy process includes several milestones, the most important of which is the pre-pregnancy consultation. During the consultation, the prospective parents meet with the surrogate and determine if she is healthy enough to carry the child. The consultation also establishes the roles and responsibilities of the parents to the surrogate, as well as the rights and responsibilities of the company to the surrogate.
