The Czech Republic v China in Ice Hockey contest of women

Czech’s triumph in Ice hockey spoils China’s party, U.S. cruise in the opener.

The Czech Republic ice hockey team of women made their Olympic debut a winning one on Thursday in BEIJING, beating host China in the Beijing Winter Games tournament opener by 3-1, with a routine win, the United States began their gold medal defense.

Czechia kicked off its 2022 Olympic tournament of women with a hard-fought win over China by 3-1, but toward the quarter-finals was just the tip of the iceberg, and it is that first step.

In historic firsts, we can count this Thursday also. This Group B clash was the first Olympic hockey game of the women’s team of Czechia; of all time, and in tandem with the opener of Canada against Switzerland, the first one ever played on Chinese ice.

Chinese captain Baiwei Yu stated that it is been 12 years since we played in the Olympics. Eventually, It is a long period. He also added that we can be here; I think we are so lucky; to play in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. It is such a good experience for me; and my squad.

As expected, While the Czechs prevailed since Vancouver 2010, the host nation showed it won’t be a pushover in its return to Olympic hockey of women for the first time.
